Retreading in Sharon Hill, PA

The Splice-Less Retread

More Miles, Better Fuel Economy, Greater Reliability

RINGTREAD by Marangoni is the preferred retreading technology for fleets around the world. The innovative ring shaped tread isn't and doesn't require splicing like other conventional retreads. RINGTREAD is contoured in the shape of your casing to enhance performance and achieve the results you're looking for.

RINGTREAD Process:

The RINGTREAD System is a revolutionary idea in manufacturing retreads. It is a complete retreading system that applies the ring utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. The retreading process can be divided into 4 main steps that are managed by automated systems. Each step proposes highly innovative technical solutions designed to enhance product quality while ensuring a production rate that guarantees an excellent quality-price ratio.

Inspecting

In the RINGTREAD production philosophy, operator expertise is irreplaceable and, along with specific operating machines, makes it possible to determine whether or not a casing can be retreaded. The ITT inspection machines use the vacuum shearography technique to reproduce the image of the deformations at a microscopic level. By modifying the tire's load conditions and overlapping images, the machine can detect defects that indicate separations. This technique is much more precise, faster and more reliable than the methods used by other retreaders today: this makes it possible to create a retread with the best performance, reliability and service life.

Buffing

Buffing removes the residues of the worn tread and prepares the casing for the application of the ring. The fully electronic RASP 2500 Leonardo buffer works the casing by tracing the original profiles of its structure. With the on board computer these buffers guarantee an accurate contoured buffing profile that will match the one of the RINGTREAD.

Building

The customised RING does not require any cuts or splices or other manual operations that may generate flaws or contaminate materials. The RINGTREADER building machines automatically center the RING, place it on the casing evenly without any deforming tension to the tread.

Curing

Now ready, the tire must be processed in an autoclave to allow the RING to perfectly bond with the casing. Temperature and pressure values are studied to ensure optimum results without affecting the casing integrity.

RINGTREAD Products:

The RINGTREAD precure treads are offered in multiple designs and sizes to fit North American casings. Each design is engineered with a specific application in mind to best serve fleets' specific needs.
